Detail: GoFundraise has a requirement to upgrade the Production server to version 3.14 which includes some important application enhancements and bug fixes.
Affected Services: During this period no impact is anticipated
Change Type: Release
Enhancements: The below enhancements affect newly built Custom forms ONLY. All forms pre-existing, or newly created using the Wizard, will not be affected by the below enhancements.
1) Removal of User Mapping from Custom forms
We have eliminated the need for user mapping. Instead, we have added in new properties to the Email Field within the Custom Form builder.
Customisable properties of the Email field are:
- Create Account option
- Name Field Linking
- Address Field Linking
- Date of Birth Field Linking
- Phone Number Field linking
- Gender Field linking
Create Account Option - For any forms that require fundraising pages to be created, or scheduled payments to be set up, this check box must be checked. This Email field will become the primary user account for this form, and any fundraising page or scheduled payment that is created will be set against this email/user account.
Name Field Linking - set which name field within the form you wish for the email account to be attached to. If the setting is left as Auto-Select, then the first Name field that is added to the form will be linked automatically.
Address Field Linking - set which Address field within the form you wish for the email account to be attached to. If the setting is left as Auto-Select, then the first Address field that is added to the form will be linked automatically.
Date of Birth Field Linking - set which Date of Birth field within the form you wish for the email account to be attached to. If the setting is left as Auto-Select, then the first Date of Birth field that is added to the form will be linked automatically.
Phone Number Field Linking - set which Phone Number field within the form you wish for the email account to be attached to. If the setting is left as Auto-Select, then the first Phone Number field that is added to the form will be linked automatically.
Gender Field Linking – you need to create a Gender field within your form by using a drop down/radio button. For the gender linking to work, you must enable values on the drop down/radio button field and insert M (Male) and F (Female). Then link via the email field.
Affected fields:
- Email (Advanced Fields)
2) Removal of Fundraising Mapping from Custom forms:
Fundraising mapping has been removed, and the addition of a Fundraising field has been implemented for Custom Forms. The Fundraising Field can be found in the Advanced Fields area, and is comprised of a host of properties that can be managed to suit your event form. There are mandatory fields that must be added to the form before it can be saved.
If a Fundraising Field is added, then the following mandatory fields must be added to the form:
- Name Field
- Address Field
- Email Field (with Create Account checked)
- Date of Birth Field
- Phone Number Field
Customisable properties of the Fundraising Field are:
- Page Type
- Event Campaign selection
- Event Beneficiary selection
- Email Account Linking
- Minimum Raise Target setting
- Fundraising Target linking
Page Type – set what type of fundraising page can be built by the user. The label can be edited, but the value (S – Individual, T – Team) cannot. You can add/remove these options as you see fit, and you can change the order offered.
Event Campaign Selection – set what event the fundraising page is to be created under by managing this section. The events are auto-populated based on what event(s) are assigned to your console. you can remove this option by un-checking the ‘Allow Event Campaign Selection’ check box at the bottom of the properties tab.
Event Beneficiary Selection – set what beneficiary you wish the fundraising page to be attached to by managing this section. The selection of beneficiaries is populated based upon what beneficiary is assigned to the event in which the form is being built under. Most of you will only have one beneficiary showing here.
Email Account Linking – set which email field within the form you wish for the fundraising page to be attached to. If the setting is left as Auto-Select, then the first Email field that is added to the form will be linked automatically.
Minimum Raise Target Setting – if you have a minimum amount that you fundraisers are to raise, you can input that amount here.
Fundraising Target Linking – If you wish for a set of targets to be available, then you can use this option to link to a drop down box/radio button within the form.
New field:
- Fundraising Page (Advanced Fields)
For ALL FORMS there is now the addition of the tool tips. This is a small question mark icon that has information about what each area of the field is. This has been implemented to assist with form building.
