Yes, you can achieve the appearance of a blank Fundometer image by uploading a blank/transparent image in it's place. e.g. Under the Related Downloads section below, click and save the image labelled 'blank fundometer image.png' to your computer, then select this image to upload to your Fundometer Widget.
Once the page has been saved, the Fundometer on the live site will look like this:
