We don’t have an ATF (Authority to Fundraise/Fundraising License), is this necessary? Can you give me more information on the ATF?
Yes. Due to government legislation, you are required to hold a fundraising license in at least one state or territory, unless you fall under an exemption set by the government body relative to your state. More on becoming a registered Australian Charity can be found on the ACNC site (https://www.acnc.gov.au/).
Please see the ATO website for the governing body relative to your state or territory for more information on ATF - http://www.ato.gov.au/Non-profit/State-and-territory/In-detail/Fundraising-requirements/State-and-territory-government-requirements---Fundraising/
Can you tell me the name of the person (fundraiser) who nominated us?
Unfortunately due to privacy regulations we cannot disclose the name of the fundraiser. However, we can request that they contact you directly if you provide your contact details.
What are your fees?
Charities can now sign up to the GoFundraise Basic license for free - no monthly or annual subscription required, just a service fee on the donations that come through the platform. A summary of fees on a donation are listed below:
- Service Fee at the Basic Licence level is 6% + gst of gross donations (1.95% + gst for Regular Giving donations)
- Donations to an organisation’s free fundraising portal are at the new low service fee of 0.49%
- Plus Banking/Merchant fees
- A more detailed overview of fees can be found here https://support.gofundraise.com/hc/en-us/articles/201281200
How do I get a lower service rate?
Our standard service fee is 6% but we do offer lower service rates with our Select and Partner plans. For more information on upgrading, please see our Features and Pricing page for more information: http://features.gofundraise.com.au/cms/pricing
How long does it take to get set up?
We can usually create your cause page between 1-2 business days after we receive the completed paperwork (online registration form, signed service agreement, bank details attached etc). Once your cause page is created, your online fundraising can commence straight away.
