Configuring the Dollar Matching
These are the settings you will need to include to set up your dollar matching day:
Matching Quantity: the specific time donations will be multiplied. If your dollar matching day will match the donation amount, you’ll select 2x of donation amount.
Example: $20 donation x2 = $40
This is a mandatory field.
Matching Cap: This is the total amount that will be matched during your dollar matching day. If you have a cap you’ll need to enable it and include the amount in the following text box. This can be turned on and off. Matching will be automatically disabled once the cap is reached.
Matching will be disabled once the amount you include is reached.
Matching Start Date and Time: This is the time your dollar matching day will start.
The specific moment the matching will be valid from. If not specified, matching will start at the moment you save.
Matching End Date and Time: The time your dollar matching day will end. If there is no end date (and you are relying on another parameter like matching cap) you can click no end date.
If you include a matching cap and an end time, matching will be disabled depending on which parameter is reached first.
Matching Sponsor Name: Include the organisation who is sponsoring your dollar matching day here. If there’s no sponsor, include the name of your organisation. The Matching Sponsor Name will be displayed on fundraising pages alongside each matched donation donation This is a mandatory field.
Here is an example of what a matched donation will look like:
Apply on Sub-events: If you would like to apply dollar matching to all sub events please check this box. If not, it will only apply to the one event.
Once you have saved your dollar matching day a summary will appear in a list in the ‘Matching configuration’ module. You can have multiple matching days live, or upcoming.
The current status (Live, Completed, Disabled, Coming Soon), total amount that has been matched, amount remaining (in case there’s a cap) and Time remaining (in case there’s an end date).
Once live, you can disable and enable the matching at anytime. If your dollar matching day is upcoming you can edit or delete it.
